Learn More About the History of K-Prep Preschool

K-Prep Preschool is a non-profit organization that has been serving the families of Waukesha and the surrounding areas for over three decades with quality preschool classes and day care services. We're a state-licensed preschool that operates under a director and an all-volunteer board of directors made up of parents, guardians and local community members. Originally founded as Southminster Preschool, we re-launched as Kindergarten Preparatory Preschool (K-Prep Preschool) at our current location in July 2006.

Our Mission

K-Prep Preschool is committed to providing preschoolers the opportunity to have creative, social, cognitive, physical and educational experiences through a warm relationship with their peer group and the adults who they are in touch with. K-Prep Preschool offers age-appropriate experiences for children that scaffold their individual growth and development.

Our Philosophy

Our curriculum provides a hands-on approach to learning. You'll surely witness your child’s individual growth. Our program helps in improving your child’s creativity, self-expression and self-awareness. At K-Prep Preschool, we believe that parents are the number one teachers in a child’s life. Without parental support and involvement, our program would not be successful. That's why we encourage the parents to participate in most of the social events and programs.
